I’ve always loved photography. I started taking photos as a teenager, and by my twenties, I began to take it more seriously—seeing it as both my craft and my art form. In 2016, I stumbled into wedding photography by chance, and it just clicked. My personality, my love for people, and my appreciation for design all fit into this wedding world. Over the years, as more artists have entered the space, wedding photography has evolved into something truly creative, and I’m so excited about where it’s headed.
My wedding and portrait photography is documentary in style. As a native New Yorker and ’90s kid, I’ve always been drawn to the edgier work of street photographers from the ’70s, ’80s. I love photos of people in motion—hands and feet mid-step, shadows stretching across the pavement, fleeting silhouettes. I’m always looking for those genuine, unscripted moments, the ones that happen when no one is watching. My approach is about going with the flow, telling honest stories, and capturing everything I see. I also have a deep love for florals and believe they’re an essential part of any wedding or elopement.
In addition to photography, I have a master’s degree in counseling from NYU. I live in the Poconos with my husband, Ralph, who runs a tree company, and our two children, Odin and Luchiana Aruna. We spend a lot of time talking about the world and working to cultivate a deeper connection with our land and nature.
A few things I love and that tell more about me than words could: I love George Carlin—I think of him like a spiritual leader. Wu-Tang and Portishead were a huge part of my artistic awakening. I believe the earth is a living being just like us and that all things in life are connected through water. My humor is Larry David-esque.
