This is a great question. You should hire me because I seriously love what I do, above all else photography is an artistic and creative passion of mine, and has been for the last 15 years. In addition to photography I have dedicated a large portion my energy to working with people, and also attend NYU graduate school for counseling. Shooting portraiture is truly a marriage of my two loves as I get to be with awesome people and create art at the same time.
I would say my work is photo journalistic, with a fine art edge. I am fascinated by NYC colors and back drops, the NYC graffiti and mural scene, but also love nature as well! I aim to use all natural light as much as humanely possible and have a background in fine art portraiture and street style photography. Our time together should feel like hanging with a friend. Not like work!. I mainly specialize in elopement photography and small and intimate weddings, but I have also photographed a number of larger weddings and love those as well.
Yes I do ! So while my main passion is smaller intimate work, meaning under 50 guests, I also do love shooting larger events, I think with the right couple and the right vibe they can be amazing. I also often have couples with smaller intimate weddings book me for a full day so they can still get comprehensive coverage of getting ready shots details and first looks. I will be super transparent here and say that I am a fine art wedding photographer super in love with creative and fun low stress weddings. I am NOT into crazy over the top wedding productions that feel more like a movie set then a real wedding, with 500 plus guests and high stress, thats not my vibe.
Second photographers are people I have worked directly with or vetted extensively that I trust can deliver on par quality to my own for your wedding day. They will have the same quality equipment as me. Also, it’s good to note that as the primary photographer I will be editing all images so the image style remains fluid throughout.
Let’s both hope this doesn’t happen, but if it does, I will provide you with a backup team with the same level of experience and professionalism to my own. And while I may not be able to be their physically I will still be a part of the final editing process. If this is not what you want I will issue a full refund for your day. I would never want an unhappy client.
I require a 25% non-refundable deposit to hold your day.
I currently use Zelle as my primary online mode of payment. Its great for down payments and not having to worry about bringing checks or cash around with you on your wedding day. I also accept cash as well.
Yes! please just inquire with me.
The hours we have booked with each other start at the time we have designated to begin, they also include the ceremony and any traveling from one location to the next we may do together.
While I understand how crazy hectic wedding days can be especially in NYC, The time we have booked is the time we have booked. With that being said I am always willing, if I am able, to add on more time the day of. But sometimes I do have other shoots booked and can’t always accommodate those requests last minute. For larger wedding’s more than 6 hours I do not book other weddings those days and start times a bit more flexible.
Yes! definitely I work with an amazing team of officiants here in NYC and I am happy to connect you with them.
Unfortunately, No. I do not meet with clients before booking, but I do offer complimentary calls where we can get aquatinted and you can interview me, and of course see me. After we have booked I offer in person meetings for $50 for 30 minutes and these are done somewhere on the upper west side of Manhattan. Calls are always free.
All images are sent in high resolution JPEG format, meaning you can print as large as 11×14 and higher. They are sent through an online gallery Pic-Time that you can download directly from, order prints, and share with friends and family.
While I understand there is an allure to having the unedited versions of the images, I do not currently offer that. By choosing to work with me you are also trusting me and my professionalism as a photographer and editor. All images I release to clients are tended to with the utmost care and detail and are fully edited in my unique style. The final images you receive are ready to print.
Up to one year.
Yes! I have backs ups of all of my weddings and shoots, it’s my job as a professional photographer to always maintain these libraries for myself and for clients as well. Should you need additional links they come with a service fee, just inquire with me.
Editing is color correction of all images, adding contrast, curves, and white balance correction, cropping images and straightening them, as well as culling and curating galleries by removing closed eyes, duplicates or unflattering angles. All finalized edited galleries are ready to print.
I work with an amazing photo-retoucher who can literally do whatever you need done, from air brushing faces to reshaping bodies, and removing people from the background of an image. Just inquire for that additional service fee.
Yes! for a small service fee I can generate a duplicate gallery of images in all black and white. Just let me know. However, I usually include a few black and white duplicates in all of my galleries.
My standard contract allows me to use your photos on my website as well as submitting for publication in magazines. However, if you personally request I do not use the photos at all, this is no problem, I will add this to the contract. This means I will not share it on the web or in any advertising.
Yes! most definitely! I believe in equality and rights for all humans of all walks of life to have the same privileges and access to high quality services. And I have shot many already, a few are featured on my home page.
Yes! I am currently working with an awesome NYC based video team and I am happy to connect you once we have booked
I love shooting in the mornings as the city is just a bit quieter and also right before sunset as well for optimal lighting. Midday (meaning 12 noon) isn’t ideal as the sun is right above our heads and the shadows can be unflattering. So, ideal times are 8am-10am and then 2pm till sunset.
I am currently using the 5D mark IV and have a Second Canon Mirrorless full frame body as well, I mainly use fixed lenses I have the 35 1.4 50 1.2 and 24 1.4 L series canon lenses. I also shoot analog film and have a few awesome vintages cameras.
Honestly, I love rainy shoots! My gear is rain and weather proof, and with some open mindedness on your end we can still get amazing images! rain snow or hail.
Yes! I am always willing to travel. However, those prices would vary from my website pricing as I do include travel expenses for weddings.
Physical wedding albums Start at $150-$400.
