I am a native New Yorker and a 90s stoop kid. I’m alternative, a free thinker and lover of nature. I’m a photographer, graduate student, mother and wife. I’m mixed ethnically, I value diversity and equality deeply. I’m not religious, but love any belief system that’s honest and respects the earth. And I love George Carlin kind-of humor.
My adoration for this medium started as a teenager with an obsession for light and shadows and street inspired photography. I think my passion for photo making coupled with a little Wu-Tang Clan and Portishead catapulted me into becoming the artist I am today, also these two bands describe me pretty well.
I spent my twenties shooting fine art photography, and black and white self portraiture, and found my inspiration in work that spoke to human emotions. In 2016, after almost giving up on the idea of a “photography career”, I landed a job photographing elopements and micro weddings full time. While I never imagined getting into “wedding photography” and certainly not traditional anything of any kind. It’s been such a blessing and honor, I really enjoy this work and believe I am a part of a new movement of artistic and alternative wedding photographers.
My style is photojournalistic and vintage inspired. I shoot both 35mm analog film and digital photography. I truly believe in going with the flow of a day, and while we can plan and prep and even location scout, we cant control everything, some of my best sessions are literally off the cuff and in the moment.
In addition to photography I attend NYU graduate school for Mental Health counseling. I Recently moved to the Poconos with my husband Ralph and my toddler Luchiana Aruna. We love flea markets and thrift shopping, deep late night talks of sustainability and off grid living, and the fintech world. I shoot in NYC and The Poconos. I look forward to connecting more. G
